Health Roundtable supports members with short notice assessments through collaboration and insights amongst members underpinned by enhanced data reporting.
In line with Health Roundtable’s Strategy, enhanced metrics will be available to members to support short notice accreditation in the new data platform. These include avoidable hospital readmissions, rate of any diabetes diagnosis and hypoglycaemia event and a measure of failure to rescue (available in the Nursing program).
In addition, a workshop series was launched – Using Health Roundtable Data to Support Accreditation. The quarterly series was trialled last year with good uptake ranging from 50-75 members participating in each workshop.
The latest session focussed on elements of Comprehensive Care with The Royal Hobart Hospital walking through their Health Roundtable data looking at the correlation between delirium, falls and pressure injuries. Members received practical examples of how to triangulate Health Roundtable data with self-reported incidents and internal hospital data for improvement .
With over 70 members on this call this was a great demonstration of how Health Roundtable data can be used in practice to improve patient care.
